Technical Courses
Certificate Courses
The minimum requirement for admission for these courses is the
Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) or, a Joint Technical certificate
or any equivalent qualification.
Brick laying and Concrete Practice (BCP)
This course is intended for students who wish to qualify as masons
and those who may wish to take up ODC and ADD in future. The course
has Part I and Part II whose duration is 2 years and 1 year respectively.
Carpentry and Joinery (CJ)
This course is intended for those students who desire to qualify
as carpenters and those students who wish to take up ODC and ADD
in future. The course has two parts Part I that takes 2 years
and Part II whose duration is 1 year.
Radio, Television and Electronics Technology
This course is intended for students who want to qualify as electronics
technicians and those students who may wish to pursue ODE in future.
The course has Part I and Part II. Each part is 1 year.
Electrical Installation (EI)
This course is intended for students who wish to qualify as electrical
technicians and those students who may wish to pursue ODE in future.
This course has two parts, Part B which is 2 years and Part C
whose duration is 1 year.
Motor Vehicle Technology (MVT)
This course is intended for students who may wish to qualify as
Motor Vehicle Mechanics and Technicians and those who wish to
take up ODM in future. The course has Part I and Part II, Part
I is 2 years while Part II is 1 year.
Plumbing
This course is intended for students who may wish to qualify as
Plumbing and Water sanitation technicians, it can also act as
a bridge for those students who may wish to pursue ODC ADD or
ODWE in future. It has two parts Part I whose duration is 1 year
and Part II which is 1 year.
Radio servicing (RS)
This course is intended for those students who may wish to qualify
as radio technicians and some students who may wish to do RTET
in future. It has only one part.
